Online retailers may now take payments from clients all across the world thanks to a partnership between FinTech payments platform Airwallex and eCommerce giant Shopify.
According to a press release, the Airwallex Online Payments App is a payment gateway plugin that accepts UnionPay, Visa, Mastercard, and more than 30 regional payment options from Asia-Pacific and Europe.
Local payment options that retailers may integrate utilizing the Airwallex Online Payments App on Shopify include GrabPay in Southeast Asia, WeChat Pay in APAC, Bancontact, and Sofort in Europe.
Airwallex’s solution will help online retailers “create a smooth payment journey,” according to Ravi Adusumilli, SVP of Partnerships and General Manager, Americas at Airwallex. This is just one way that Airwallex’s software may assist eCommerce merchants in accepting international payments.
Adusumilli continued, “By using an Airwallex account, retailers may receive secure access to a variety of payment options, both locally and internationally, in an easy, quick, and economical way.
According to the announcement, settlements may be obtained in over seven major currencies, including USD, avoiding currency conversion and other expenses. In addition to receiving payments into their Airwallex multi-currency wallets, merchants now have the option of cashing out using borderless cards or transfers.
