AvidXchange has made an application programming interface (API) connectivity for invoice-to-pay with Intuit QuickBooks Online accessible.
Customers of QuickBooks Online now have access to a completely automated, end-to-end, cloud-based accounts payable (AP) and payment system, according to a news release from AvidXchange.
“This is an exciting new integration for us, as well as the middle market as a whole, as we expand our capabilities across more established platforms,” AvidXchange Chief Growth Officer Dan Drees said in the press release.
According to the press release, the new service enables automated syncing of accounting codes, vendor data, invoices, and payments, saving clients the time they would otherwise spend manually managing these AP chores.
The solution also offers more insight and transparency into payment data so that customers can learn from each transaction because it enables the AP process to be carried out through a cloud-based platform, according to the release.
According to the announcement, the solution also lessens consumers’ need to purchase envelopes, stamps, and paper checks, and make trips to the bank by enabling digital payments to suppliers.
Three months ago, AvidXchange introduced API connectivity with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, a cloud-based accounting solution geared toward the charity industry.
Nine out of ten chief financial officers (CFOs) reported that their businesses were either investing in payments digitization presently or had plans to do so in the future, according to a study.
