The platform for payments-as-a-service Answer Pay and online invoicing service and technology provider Partner Hub have partnered to make it easier for banks to offer request-to-pay and eInvoicing services to their clients.

According to an Answer Pay blog post, the partnership combines Answer Pay’s request-to-pay service, which is available in the United Kingdom and the Single European Payments Area (SEPA), with Partner Hub’s ability to reformat invoice data from enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for invoice presentation and automatically generate payment requests over Answer Pay’s request-to-pay networks.

According to the article, the two organizations work together to make it easier for banks to integrate these services into their portfolios.

“The two major banks in Hungary were able to swiftly and safely get up and running with our [eInvoice] solution,” Partner Hub co-founder Katalin Kauzli stated in the statement. “We’re excited to collaborate with Answer Pay to assist banks in the rest of Europe fully use this strong combination of [eInvoicing] and [request-to-pay].”

According to the post, the use of request-to-pay is increasing because it allows businesses to collect regular payments from their customers, which is especially important during Europe’s current cost of living crisis, while eInvoicing is becoming more common because many European nations are looking to make it mandatory.

“The cost of the living problem will impact how we handle our bill payments,” stated Ralf Ohlhausen, Executive Adviser at Answer Pay. “Add to that the desire throughout Europe for [eInvoicing] and you can understand why we’re so delighted to collaborate with Partner Hub to bring this new innovation to market.”
